Preschool and Nursery in Queens (zip code: 11373) seeks experienced teacher in Early Childhood Education (Birth – 2 years old).
Candidate Qualifications:
has experience working with infants and toddlers in group settings *
has a passion for teaching young children and is hard working
has good classroom management skills
has good communication skills with parents and the ability to work well with other staff members
is creative, willing to learn and flexible
is able to meet physical requirements of the position which include lifting children and year-round daily
physical activities
remain calm and composed under stress
Duties include:
plan for curriculum and instruct infants and toddlers in activities to facilitate cognitive, emotional and social
development
maintain written observations and reports of the children’s performance in the classroom
observe and record children’s developmental milestones, working with parents to take action, if necessary

Compensation: Standard DECE Early Childhood Teachers’ pay is up to $68,600/year with certification and
